TAKE YOUR DIVING TO

THE NEXT LEVEL

If you are looking to either expand your diving knowledge and skills, or simply looking for an adventure, then the Advanced Open Water course will tick all of those boxes. You'll discover new and exciting areas of diving from venturing into deeper waters or developing zen-like buoyancy control, all under close supervision of our expert instructors, who will call on all of their tricks to help you fine-tune your scuba diving abilities.

This course is one of our favourites - take a look at these key benefits to see why!

WHAT WILL

I LEARN?

Like most modern scuba diving courses which consist of training "modules",

the Advanced Open Water course is broken-down into 2 parts:

10-12 HOURS TOTAL

Get ready for your  open water training by completing the theory via the PADI eLearning platform. Download the course material then immerse yourself in the interactive presentations, which prepare you for the practical skills to be done at the Great Barrier Reef!

These modules cover all of the theory and assessments, meaning no further tests are needed once here in Port Douglas.

This digital component works best using the PADI Library app, and is compatible with Mac, PC, iOS and Android..

THEORY

2 DAYS/6 DIVES

2 of the 5 required training dives are compulsory - 'Deep' and 'Navigation'; which gear you up for diving to 30m/100ft, and finding your way around a dive site using a compass and natural references.

Choose your other 3 dives from the following, based on whatever most grabs your attention: Boat, Enriched Air*, Digital Underwater Imaging,

Fish Identification; Search & Recovery,  and Coral Reef Conservation.

There is also a Peak Performance Buoyancy dive which is often considered an unofficial compulsory dive, where you will swim through hoops and play buoyancy games as you fine-tune your control.
