Breathing underwater for the first time is one of the most amazing sensations that can be experienced. However many visitors to our incredible part of the world, amongst all of the activities available in the region; often have only one day to make it to the Outer Great Barrier Reef to see it for themselves.

The PADI and SDI introductory dive programs are designed with those in mind who want to see the reef in 3-D, without going through a full 3-day certification course. That way, you get to take a little look inside what it's like to be a diver, as you explore the incredible Great Barrier Reef.

Under the instruction and supervision of an experienced dive instructor, you'll learn about basic principles and techniques for safe scuba diving, before completing a few in-water exercises. Once the training session is completed, we are then free to explore the reef for the rest of the day, enjoying the freedom of zero gravity, and observing the day-to-day life of the wildlife

No previous experience is necessary, though it is recommended that you have either snorkeled before or are comfortable swimming in the ocean. If that's not the case, then please get in touch about arranging a pool session before traveling to the reef. This would be at an added cost but is a great option if you are not sure if scuba diving is for you!
